# BRANDING, COPY , GRAPHIC DESIGN
, & WEB DEVLOPMENT
Creative Designer and Brand internship
Working under the brand team, I was able to get a close look into the brainstorming, creation, and copy of all the creative branding and design for universities and companies alike. Being able to use my creativity to think outside the box for educators and institutions was un and intriguing. I love being able to use my creativity for a bigger cause.
My Highlights!
Designing under professional creatives
Learning deliverables and presentation
Working with the Web Developement team : QA and Migration through Wordpress!
Through the design portion, I was able to learn to design for a company vision: We were able to think of profiles for our audience and people who might be insterested in the brand and design. This led us also to consider the location, type of instituiton and the type of design that might be eye catching or meaningful. Along with this, we looked into competetors and what might not work in comparison.
For this type of work, the design was often clean, simple, and straight to the point. There were some creative elements and often color pallettes to ehance the hues.

Brand & Copy
Although having been less experienced in this area at first, I was able to work with copy and tag lines for an institution.
My thought process to go about it was to write down as much phrasing and wording as I could possibly think of: I also studied in a thesaurus type of way. I looked into definitions, synonyms and did lots of word pairing and indepth meaning research.
In the end I took the words and designed them with the brand guidelines, we then worked through and decided which ones might be the best.
Throughout university I dipped into web development and design, Suprisingly I don’t enjoy designing as much as a enjoy development! (I think it’s still fun though)
Through the team I was able to migrate content from an old institution’s website (Río Hondo College) and move it to a new developed one (fully done by stamats!).
In addition to migration I conducted quality assurance with the guidelines, and was able to efficiently work through the pages.
Within QA, I also assisted in finding and fixing broken links through the backend of wordpress!
In total we completed around 1500 pages within a month!
