EARLY GRAPHICS
DOC 234—34/2

#REDESIGN Another assignment during my graphics courses: This task was a redesign of a book. I chose the black box society and the Euphoria play-write scripts

I chose a few books I had been inerested in and had been reading at the moment- things that really inspired me and something I had known a lot about and began creating. Being mainly an artist- I like to incorporate sketchy style in my design work- My most successful piece incorporating this would have to be the Euphoria playwrite.

ALBUM REDESIGN - RAYANA JAY

Additional college assignment: picking an album to redesign and ‘sell’ as both a record and a casette. One of my favorite projects, I listened to this album over and over to get inspiration for this piece. Music is something that I normally do to get inspiration for art works and specific styles and such.

This one was special, I listened to it about a million times whilst stylizing this piece.
similar to my other works: I have practiced my own type and fonts. I think this is also one of my more successful type pieces, although I didn’t use the type for all of the album but for major titles & etc.

WSU WOMEN’S CENTER - WEB REDESIGN & GRAPHICS

This was a community service project- my group of 5 worked with our university’s women center to redesign their website through UMBRACO: which was a little bit difficult to code, so we had a few members dedicate their time to the coding aspect of the site while others designed graphics, web layout, logos and other specifics.

It was a great learning experience to communicate with a client and a team to create a more accessable website;
- we lead research surveys
- we helped them figure out what they want to advertise
- completed posters and redesigns

In the end, they didn’t end up taking our designs to their website, but it was worth it as practice to see how we might end up working in a similar environment.
#INFORMATIONAL GRAPHICDOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

Graphic set done to raise awareness; also as a project for my sorority. Although this collection is mainly ocused on the statistics of women, there are also many men that experience this. Additionally regardless of gender assigned at birth, it can happen to anyone.

These graphics are to spread awareness of it and create something meaningful-
the purple throughout the graphic represnts DVA- and the linework represents connection and and strength for those who may need a safe community.

#REDESIGNOne of my early graphics pieces from university: The task was to redesign a few posters from art exhibits. I decided to go the DIY text route, in an attempt to be creative only few turned out successfully, but I continually practice this technique throughout my studies; this is just the beginning.
